Carry on Camping in sunny Suffolk
Here in Suffolk we have a great selection of campsites to choose from. Whether its traditional tenting, caravaning or you have a campervan to roam in or perhaps glamping is more your style? In this blog we've featured campsites all near to Felixstowe so you could bring the family for a fun weekend of camping and also take in a show here at the Spa or pop to Felixstowe for a meal with us here at the Spa in one of our two Brasserie style restaurants by the sea during your stay.
Run Cottage Touring Park at Woodbridge has two luxury glamping pods plus plenty of places for you to camp. Close to the market town of Woodbridge they are a small family run Touring caravan park with just 45 generously size pitches located on Suffolk’s beautiful Heritage Coast on the outskirts of the village of Hollesley, Set in 4.5 acres of parkland, with a large pond and views over open farmland, and an abundance of native wildlife to see, from sparrows to barn owls, rabbits to deer, by the stream at the bottom of the site you may see ducks, moorhens, egrets and maybe even catch sight of the elusive king fisher!
The Orchard Campsite has a Safari Tent - brand new for 2016 - as luxurious as a house apparantly! They also have pre-erected tents for you to hire which come fully equipped so no need to pack the car to the brim. You can of course pop along with your own tent or caravan and be made equally as welcome. They also have a handy on-site shop stocked with plenty of Suffolk produce, beers and wines too.
Westwood Caravan Park is literally a stone's throw from Felixstowe just off the A14 at Bucklesham and they have a sister park too -The Oaks which can be accessed from their website link above. However this one has 90 pitches to offer you for caravans and motorhomes - here's what a camper had to say "Had a fantastic few days, the facilities were spotless and the whole site kept lovely. The addition of a water outlet at every pitch was a good touch (my kids loved it,one less job for them ) Will definitely be going again and would not hesitate to recommend the site to others. Thank you."

Orwell Meadows is also just off the A14 at Nacton offer some static homes available to rent. They have a small fleet of static holiday caravans which are continually being updated from great value standard models to our premier range. All models are well equipped with domestic size fridge, cooker and remote control colour TV & DVD player, barbecue and patio area. Duvets and pillows are supplied, all you need to bring are duvet covers, pillow slips, bottom sheets and towels and voila your weekend is up and running!
Steadings Park Campsite offer extra large pitches and fishing on site. This relaxing site will give you plenty of peace and tranquility with a touch of luxury set in very spacious friendly rural surroundings. Enjoy the fantastic Suffolk countryside with a great country pub only a short walk away.
