Follow in Cardinal Wolsey's Steps

If you are looking to enjoy a show here at the Spa and want to stay over night how about staying where Cardinal Wolsey once stayed? It would mean a short drive but its worth the travel.

College Farm is an arable farm set in the peaceful Suffolk countryside, just 6 miles west of Ipswich on the A1071 to Hadleigh. The Grade II Listed farmhouse is a 500-year-old beamed tudor building which was once owned by Cardinal Wolsey in King Henry VIII's time. It has been carefully modernised over the years, but still retains its character with oak beams, inglenook fireplace, sloping floors and low doorways.

The house stands in a large garden which guests are welcome to relax in, and is surrounded by fields and meadows in a quiet part of the farm. You may walk the marked footpaths on the farm to enjoy the Roses by their front door plus the scenery and wildlife, or play golf, go fishing or horse riding which are all close by. Check out their website for full details and availability.
