Suki to make her Carnival Debut

Felixstowe Carnival, on Saturday 22nd July is set to be the best yet with a variety of fun and colourful floats, however it’s going to be packed with even more great entertainment this year. We are delighted to announce we are planning to take part for the first time with our very own Spa Pavilion Theatre float as part of the procession.

Ray Anderson, Director of the Spa said “Last year we sponsored the Carnival Royalty and this year we are very excited to announce we will be taking part in the parade. Our float will be heavily based on the summer variety shows theme with lots of traditional seaside fun happening on board. They’ll also be plenty of giveaways and music to entertain the crowds.”

The entertainment for the float comes ready made in the form of cast from our forthcoming show The Great British Seaside Special which is due at the Spa in August for two matinee performances (3rd and 17th August). The cast from the show will be in colourful costume and fine voice and helping to add some more pizzazz to the procession.

Our new Mayor of Felixstowe, Cllr Nick Barber said of our involvement this year,

"It is fantastic news for the Town to see the Spa Pavilion thriving. I am also pleased to see them entering this year’s Felixstowe Carnival Procession for the first time."

Suki the Spa’s mascot will also be making her Felixstowe Carnival debut, so bring your little ones and you might even get a chance for a ‘Suki Selfie’ before the procession gets going.

Tickets for the Great British Seaside Special – a fun-filled afternoon of variety with comedy, music, dance and magic and suitable for the whole family are now on sale via www.felixstowespa.co.uk or by calling our lovely Box Office ladies on 01394 284962.

We're currently in the process of designing our own float and looking at all sorts of different concepts to inspire our design.  Hope to see you there!
